  “大食代”美食广场是新加坡在中国投资的餐饮连锁企业。1997年在上海南京路梅龙镇广场开设了第一家美食广场以来,至今在中国已拥有13家美食广场,成为家喻户晓的美食场所。

  “大食代”成功地将外资管理和当地饮食文化相结合,并以其品种丰富、价格适宜、地理位置优越、就餐环境舒适等特点,赢得了中国消费者的厚爱,成为各阶层消费人士外出就餐时的首选场所。

  Megabite, a Singaporean-invested food court, has had good establishment in Shanghai since the opening of its first branch in Westgate Mall in Nanjing Road W. in 1997. Today, Megabite has thirteen branches in major Chinese cities. Because of its world-recognized management and fine adaptation to local cuisine flavors, Megabite is popular among customers from all walks of life in Shanghai. When they are looking for a treat of delicious food, the first idea to cross their minds is usually Megabite, due to its variety of cuisine, modest price, convenient location and comfortable environment.

  善结盟友也体现在与各大商场的合作。“大食代”深知餐饮和购物结合的经营之道,因此,选择了在有综合实力和品牌影响的商场入驻,象上海的梅龙镇广场、香港广场、美罗城、家乐福、来福士、乐购等,无一不是业绩卓著的业界巨头。2000年,“大食代”落户北京王府井的“东方广场”,后又在天津、沈阳、南宁,与全球商业霸主沃尔玛共同入驻大连万达商业广场。

  Megabite aims to provide delicious food to their loyal customers. In doing so, Megabite makes invitations to F & B owners both in China and abroad to join the food court.

  The main reason for Megabite’s success lies in its cooperation with big shopping malls such as Westgate Mall, Hong Kong Plaza, Metro City, Carrefour, Hymall and Raffles City, which are all well known and well establish shopping malls in Shanghai. In 2000, Megabite joined Oriental Square, a giant shopping mall in downtown Beijing; after that, Megabite has been welcomed into Wanda Group Shopping Mall to open food courts in major cities like Dalian, Shenyang and Nanning, along with Wal-Mart, Kodak and Walmart.

  “大食代”坚持黄金地段的选址策略,像上海南京西路梅龙镇广场、淮海中路香港广场、徐家汇美罗城、人民广场的来福士广场和北京王府井东方广场,大连万达商业广场等,不是高级写字楼云集的CBD中心,就是销售业绩特优,万千人气聚集的热点商圈。“大食代”重金求宝地之举,造就了上海诸店日均客流3.6万人次的可喜回报。

  Finding good locations of establishment in different malls and plazas in Shanghai is vital to Megabite’s success. Megabite is extremely scrupulous in selecting the location of its branches. All Megabite branches are located at either populous shopping centers with large sales volumes or CBD areas surrounded by office buildings, such as Westgate Mall in Nanjing Road W., Hong Kong Plaza in Huaihai Road M., Meiluo City in Xujiahui, Raffles City in the People’s Square, etc. Megabite is greatly rewarded for occupying these good locations: now 36,000 people have dinner in Megabite every day in Shanghai.

  在卖场的用餐环境和空间设计上,“大食代”动足脑筋,力求给予就餐者充分的舒适度和视觉享受;每一家美食广场内层次分明、疏密有致,光影和谐、绿化错落。 为了营造良好的就餐环境,大食代开创了“明档”操作模式:柜台前,摆着诱人的菜肴成品或新鲜原料;柜台后就是流理台,洗刷烹炒都干净利索。食客在放心舒心地就餐之余,更可观赏厨师们精湛的手艺。另外,“大食代”每隔3到4年就会对卖场进行装修整改,务必让顾客能在最新、最IN、最舒服的环境中用餐。

  Megabite pays great attention to the space design and interior decoration of its branches in order to appeal to its customers of all ages. In every Megabite branch, a sense of easiness is created as the 2,000-square-meter hall is partitioned into smaller areas and flowing with comfortable illumination and music. The relaxation for the diners comes both physically and visually.

  The open processing between the kitchen and the counter, a novelty of Megabite, is also a reassuring sight for the diners. The interior of Megabite branches is refurbished every three or four years, so that Megabite can always be an “in” place for all.

  所有入驻“大食代” 的美食专柜,都由公司统一招商,统一经营管理,避免了零散出租而带来的业种重复和管理混乱。公司的管理队伍由招商部,营业部、财务部、人事部、工程部、发展部、广告策划部等部门组成,各尽其职并相互配合督促。

  “大食代”各分店由营业部店长负责,店长协同各类别主管,维护分店每日的正常营运。 “大食代”定期开展员工的各种培训,严格保证了员工的业务素质和应急能力。

  “大食代”通过免收租金,从加盟商家营业额内提成的方式来实现双赢的合作模式。利益共享,风险同担,使得双方的合作更为坦诚,极大地鼓舞的商家的士气。

  In order to rule out any possible disorder or redundancy, Megabite has a centralized plan for inviting food stall owners to join in. The management team consists of Sales, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, Development, Advertisement & Marketing, etc., which cooperate with and complement each other.

  The shop manager, together with other partners, is responsible for the daily functions of Megabite. The management also holds various training programs periodically to ensure that the employees are qualified for their positions.

  The food stall owners in Megabite do not need to pay any rent at all; instead, they pay a certain proportion of their stall’s revenue to Megabite. In this way, Megabite and the shop owners share the profit and risk together. The absence of rent leads to a more dedicated relationship between the two parties, and at the same time motivates the individual restaurants to step up their services.

  Megabite has a great variety of delicious food. There are not only Chinese dishes and snacks from different area of china, but also specialties from Asian and Western countries. More than 2,000 kinds of food are available in every Megabite branch, where the customers can always find a taste to their liking. Meanwhile, new menu are constantly developed to cater to the clientele.
